The Modern British History Reading Group is a forum for discussing recent scholarly interventions in the field of Modern British History. We are interested in studies that interact with other perspectives and broader geographies, and that offer new approaches to British history. We'll be holding termly sessions that will hopefully appeal to researchers, students, and other interested readers, so come along for a conversation about recent interesting books.

We are based in the History Department but welcome students and staff from any department, from Warwick or elsewhere, with an interest in reading Modern British History. We hold sessions both in person once a term and a full programme for the year can be found below. If there are any recent books that make a substantial contribution to modern British historiography, please drop us a line and we'll see if we can work it in.
