How we work

The Conduct & Resolution team work in trauma informed way. This means we focus on understanding trauma鈥檚 impact, supporting affected students, and creating inclusive, safe environments.
We recognise that many individuals accessing our service have experienced trauma and so we design our engagement to avoid re-traumatisation while supporting recovery.

The service is reporter-led, ensuring individuals retain control over their decisions and can access support in a way that feels safe and appropriate for them.

Key Trauma Informed Elements

Choice and control

Individuals can submit reports anonymously or with their contact details, allowing them to decide how much information to share and whether they wish to engage with further support. Support is not time-limited, ensuring victim-survivors can continue to access assistance for as long as needed.

Empowerment through information

The platform provides clear information about reporting options, support services, and potential next steps, enabling individuals to make informed decisions at their own pace. Access to support and guidance does not require a formal disclosure.

Transparency and trust

We clearly explain what happens after a report is submitted, how information may be used, and any circumstances in which information may need to be shared. Comprehensive guidebooks help students understand and navigate the process.

Trauma-informed communication

Communications associated with the service have been reviewed against compassionate communication principles to ensure they are supportive, accessible, and sensitive to the needs of those accessing the service.

Staff training and organisational commitment

Trauma-informed practice is reinforced through annual training for staff involved in disciplinary processes, alongside ongoing professional development in trauma awareness, responding to disclosures, active listening, and victim-survivor-centred approaches.

Who we are

Report + Support

Report + Support provides a confidential, accessible, and trauma-informed platform for students and staff to disclose experiences of harassment, sexual misconduct, discrimination, bullying, hate incidents, stalking, relationship abuse, and other forms of unacceptable behaviour.

Through a reporter-led approach, the service empowers individuals to make informed choices about support and reporting options, while trained Liaison Officers provide ongoing guidance and support.

The service is committed to promoting safety, trust, choice, and empowerment, ensuring that all individuals are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
