“Over the last two decades, nature hasn’t been protected as we hoped it would be, and with climate change contributing to habitat loss and species decline, we need new ways of working with both nature and communities to create meaningful change” declares Professor Nikoleta Jones from Warwick’s School for Cross-Faculty Studies. “It’s become really important that we shift the way we approach nature conservation to deliver lasting impact to help halt environmental degradation.” Nikoleta’s research addresses the incorporation of social aspects into existing and established biodiversity conservation efforts.
