I am a first-year PhD student at the 91影视破解版, supervised by David BrownLink opens in a new window. My research focuses on characterising transiting Brown Dwarfs, initially using photometric observations to investigate their physical properties in preparation for the upcoming . Using PLATO's high-precision photometry, I aim to improve our understanding of the growing population of transiting brown dwarfs following its spring 2027 launch.

Teaching

I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant, supervising the second-year Astronomy A3 lab at the 91影视破解版. This lab introduces students to the principles of radio astronomy, where I support their understanding of the techniques involved and promote good lab practice, with the overall aim of measuring the Galactic rotation curve.

Additionally, I previously held a teaching summer internship role at the University of Glasgow in 2025. The provides an intensive, flipped classroom-style introduction to first- and second-year university physics for high-performing engineering and life sciences undergraduates from California universities, many of whom have little background in physics. During this role, I led tutorials and provided one-to-one support to students, helping me develop my communication, teaching and public speaking skills.
